Celebrating Eagle Scouts: A Tribute to Dedication and Growth

On December 13, 2025, Troop 453 came together for a meaningful celebration of accomplishments, camaraderie, and personal growth. It was a special moment to reflect on the remarkable journey our Scouts have taken throughout the year—and to proudly honor three outstanding young men who have reached the pinnacle of Scouting: Javier Ortiz, Alejandro Carrasquillo, and William Rivera, our newest Eagle Scouts.

The event was filled with pride and gratitude as both troops recognized the dedication behind every merit badge earned and every rank achieved. These Scouts completed an impressive range of badges that strengthened their leadership abilities and life skills, including Camping, First Aid, Citizenship in the Community, Citizenship in the Nation, Citizenship in the World, Environmental Science, Personal Fitness, Communication, Emergency Preparedness, Cooking, Family Life, Lifesaving, Swimming, Hiking, and Leadership Development. Each badge represents hours of learning, service, and perseverance—a true testament to their commitment and determination.

A Moment of Honor: The Eagle Scout Ceremony

One of the most moving moments of the day was the Eagle Scout ceremony, a symbolic tradition that marks the transition from Scout to Eagle. As the Scouts stood before their peers, leaders, and families, the ceremony served as a powerful reminder that earning the Eagle rank is more than an achievement—it is a lifelong commitment to the values of Scouting: honor, service, and responsibility. Witnessing these young men take that pledge was truly inspiring.

Gratitude for Those Who Made It Possible

We also extend our deepest appreciation to the Parents’ Committee, whose tireless efforts made this celebration possible, and to the Scoutmasters, whose guidance and mentorship have shaped these Scouts into confident leaders. Their dedication behind the scenes—planning activities, organizing events, and encouraging growth every step of the way—deserves heartfelt recognition.

As we close this chapter and look ahead to a new year, Troop 453 stands proud of its accomplishments and excited for the adventures to come.
