Radians School has achieved a remarkable distinction — being selected as the only school in Puerto Rico and one of only 17 schools across the United States to participate in the Day of AI “Student Voices in AI” Pilot Program, a national initiative developed by MIT RAISE (Responsible AI for Social Empowerment and Education) in collaboration with i2 Learning.
This prestigious program invites students to explore the ethical, creative, and societal dimensions of artificial intelligence, empowering them to use technology with purpose and conscience. Through this initiative, Radians joins a select network of schools shaping the next generation of responsible innovators.
The Student Voices in AI initiative is led by Daniella DiPaola, Ph.D. student and researcher in the Personal Robots Group at the MIT Media Lab and part of MIT RAISE. Her work focuses on the intersection of AI, education, and ethics, inspiring students to think critically about how artificial intelligence impacts their lives and communities.

Guided by Prof. Elizabeth Rivera, Radians’ 10th-grade students will engage in hands-on, interdisciplinary projects that combine AI literacy, digital citizenship, and virtue-centered learning — reinforcing the school’s mission to forge, educate, and promote integral citizens.
“Being the only school in Puerto Rico selected for this pilot is an extraordinary honor,” said Prof. Rivera. “It highlights the innovative spirit of our students and Radians’ commitment to leading education that blends technology with human values.”
As part of the Student Voices in AI initiative, students will reflect on how AI impacts their lives and communities, using storytelling, design, and critical thinking to express their perspectives. Their work will become part of a national showcase amplifying youth voices in the age of artificial intelligence.

Through this milestone, Radians School proudly represents Puerto Rico on a national stage, reaffirming its role as a pioneer in educational excellence, innovation, and human-centered technology.
“This program aligns perfectly with our school’s vision,” said Prof. Rivera. “At Radians, we believe that education must prepare students not just to use technology, but to lead it with wisdom, empathy, and purpose.”
At Radians, the future is already here — and it speaks with curiosity, courage, and compassion.
